okay so i was in puerto rico over summer- felt stinging sensation on penis and noticed some flat white spots- pain subsided in a 2-3 days. last sexual contact was protected and 2 months prior- got back to states and had herpeselct test- + for HSV1 negative for HSV2. flat slightly raised lesions continued, discomfort, went to urologist, he noticed band of irregular skin, said it was fungal,(lichen something) prescribed anti-fungal, some improvement but still more or less constant irritation- went back to urologist, said it was irritation (masturbation), told me to use moistureizer. concern: 1 month ago had brief unprotected genital apposition- 2 weeks later had brief irritating unprotected sex with virgin (felt like it so i believe her) 2 weeks after this intense burning in same area (just under foreskin), same constant flat opaque whitish lesion but this time with a red raw sore skin in close proximity… this has been going on for 2 weeks now -no blisters- std? fungus? trauma? help!!

Is there anyway I can get genital herpes from my roommate without sex?

I just found out my roommate has genital herpes I’m worried that I might pick it up somehow living with him. I’m not into dudes so I don’t have to worry about spreading from sex hahaha is there any other way it can spread? Do I need to keep an eye our for anything? If you could let me know how spreading works and if I need to watch out I’d appreciate it.

Just curious really. I never understood it. Are they the same virus can you get oral herpes from someone with genital, or genital from someone with oral… Can you have both at the same time?

what if i found out that i have herpes
herpes simplex virus 2 ( HSV2 )
and i am asymptomatic patient

i just found out on my check up that i am asymptomatic patient of HSV2

how dose it affect me

and how dose it affects my life

by the way i did the IgG and it was positive

do i have to do the IgM test also to get sure

well i am too confused

i read allover the web about herpes and every thing about it i even reffered to herpes.com and herpesonline.com

so i mostly know about it nut i needed to know more about it from real people not from a website

and please stop the ewww’s and oh no’s and stuff like that
because i had enough of it already

Is a herpes cure coming?

I’ve got HSV1 on genitals (resultant from oral sex with a cold sore) and I know there is no cure yet but is there any word of one on the way? Its just frustrating, makes me feel dirty.
I don’t have outbreaks, hubby and i were just toying with the idea of including someone else in our boudoir, but we won’t put another person at risk. It was just an unfortunate accident in our case.

HPV?Freaking me out =/?

Sex about 4 years ago(it was without my consent, and I hate saying the R word). Three years I had been seeing this guy and decided to have sex because I wanted and because no one was frocing me to do it. Well after that i’ve had like a zillion pap smears. My first one in NoV 2003 the gyne only tested me for bacterial and HIV. Came back neg. I was still freaking out and decided to get tested again for everything! in 2004 march. I was seeing a diff gyne already. Everything came back fine. Then in 2005 I had a pap smear and everything came back fine. Now 2007, I got a new doc, the clinic just put me with a new doc, and says you have hsv2. I was sad so ******* sad. Then I got over it. Then a girl did a presentation on HPV. U can’t detect that one through blood. Now that I have the herps =( is like, my mind is making me think I have everything! So hpv! can you have normal paps, but at the same time have hpv? My next pap is tuesday!
